Overview |

 |
 |
 | Come and make yourself at home in our gorgeous 19th century mansion, perched just above Lapa (five minutes walk). Enjoy the panorama from balconies at each of our three levels, overlooking Lapa, downtown, Niteroi and Guanabara Bay.
We offer private double and triple rooms, as well as a choice of two dormitories. We provide free internet to our guests (wireless for those with own laptops, or feel free to use our computer), a delicious breakfast on our terrace overlooking it all, with monkeys and exotic birds for company, as well as a drinks bar. | | We are located in Santa Teresa, Rio´s Bohemian quarter - ramble through the cobbled stoned streets to fully understand why Rio´s sculptors, writers, photographers, and artists all choose to live here. Sip a cold beer in any of the locals hang-outs, while listening to impromptu samba sessions. Most of all, escape the tourism rat race that are the beach zones, and hang out in the real Rio. Don´t worry, you´ll be right beside the transport systems, so you can still get to the beach. | | We are right above Lapa, which is the birthplace of the Rio music scene, and where entertainment can be found any night of the week, and at any time. Our team is a mix of locals and travellers who have made out home here, so we will be more than happy to provide you with some on good places to go / hang out, to make sure your visit to Rio is unforgettable. | | We have partnered with some local tour providers, and are happy to help with any arrangements for same - from football to funk. Basically, we´re here to make sure you enjoy yourself, and that your trip is hassle free.

Santa Teresa is an artistic charming neighborhood, with old charming houses, looks like an old Rio de Janeiro. We still can ride the old trail! It crosses the whole area bringing hundreds of visitors and locals everyday. Our hostel is located in a privileged place, in a calm and safe street, with a guard watch where it begins | | Directions | There are two bus lines that goes to Santa Teresa (206 and 214), about 1 hour from Galeão Airport. The best option would be to take a Taxi (much faster).
Alternately, take a bus to Santos Dumont (city centre airport), and grab a taxi from there - around R$10
From the bus station, the best option is a taxi - around R$15
We are directly opposite Parque das Ruinas, near Curvelo. | | Transportation | Taxi, Real bus, common bus, bonde (street car) | | Airport | Santos Dumont Airport |
