Welcome to The Fylde, Blackpool’s first accredited Backpackers Hostel. Blackpool is one of the most visited seaside resorts in the UK; so finding accommodation to suit your needs can be difficult. Rest assured we provide our guests with quality clean and comfortable accommodation at budget prices. We aim to provide you with the perfect base for you to explore the resort and surrounding areas. Centrally located in Blackpool we are near to all of the main attractions, Winter Gardens, town centre and promenade. We achieved a 4 star accreditted Backpackers Hostel with Visit Britain and Enjoy England in December and have spent the last few months making The Fylde more comfortable. We cater especially for families, walkers and cyclists, school groups, international backpackers, business travellers, specialist groups.

We are family run and offer a high standard of accommodation, spacious public areas including sun lounge, Basement Bar and Games Room and Dining Room. We offer free internet, WIFI and Skype should you need to contact families and friends overseas. We include a hearty breakfast in all of our tarrifs and new for this year, we have a self catering area in the Dining Room offering a combination microwave, kettle, toaster, and fridge. Help yourself to tea and coffee throughout the day at no additional cost. The Basement Bar is an ideal place to enjoy home cooked food. We offer an extensive menu to cater for your budget. Special diets and childrens meals are also available. We aim to offer an ideal base for our guests to meet new people and relax after a day or night exploring Blackpool and its surrounding area.

The Fylde is located in central Blackpool and originally was built as a vicarage for the local church. We are fortunate enough to have original features such as a beautiful stained glass door, large banister and high ceilings and original panelling. We have restored most of the original features. We offer budget accommodation for travellers, backpackers, walkers and cyclists that would like to find the ideal base to visit the Lancashire coast and Lake District. We offer car parking free of charge and are within walking distance to the train and bus stations in Blackpool. A warm welcome will await you at the Fylde.

We concentrate on providing hearty Home cooked food and a full cooked breakfast to keep you going throughout the day. Packed Lunches available at an additional cost for walkers and bikers.

We aim to provide all the home comforts for when you are travelling, all of our rooms have comfortable beds, crisp linen, ensuite facilities and are all private to ensure you get that well earned rest ready to explore Blackpool. Free Internet and WIFI is also available throughout your stay so you can keep in touch with friends and family back home. The internet station has a webcam for those that have a SKYPE account.
