PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION AGREEMENT
§ 1 General
Kerjalon Hostel Tórshavn is a part of the Hotel Føroyar concern and thus belongs to Hotel Føroyars' Payment and Cancellation Policy.
The Hotel Føroyar Payment and Cancellation Agreement states the contractual contents according to which Faroese accommodation providers generally conclude
accommodation contracts with their guests.
The Hotel Føroyar Payment and Cancellation Agreement do not exclude special
agreements.
According to the terms and conditions given, this contract becomes effective as
soon as the room/rooms, locations, or other supplies and services have been
ordered and confirmed. Time permitting, the hotel will acknowledge the guest's
reservation and ask for reconfirmation. If deposits requested by the hotel are not
paid by the given date, Hotel Føroyar is entitled to cancel the booking.
§ 2 Contract Partners
In cases of doubt the contract partner of the accommodation provider is the
ordering party, even if he placed, or jointly placed, the order for other specifically
named persons.
The persons availing themselves of the accommodation are guests in accordance
with the contract conditions.
§ 3 Pre-Payment
By placing your booking you agree to the following payment terms:
Hotel Føroyar can request an advance payment of the entire agreed payment
amount following these terms:
Booking fee: 25% of total arrangement is to be paid 90 days prior to arrival
Advance payment: 75% of total arrangement is to be paid 30 days prior to
arrival
Any rest payment has to be paid prior to departure
Participant list is to be sent 30 days prior to arrival
Lack of deposit payment will result in cancellation of an arrangement as stated in
§ 4 about cancellations.
In as far as advance payments have not already been made, all outstanding costs
are due for payment in the hotel on the day of departure.
Please note that all hotel guests are registered upon check in. Hotel Føroyar also
demands a credit card print from guests that are paying for extra services during
their stay at the hotel.
§ 4 Cancellation
Cancellation of an arrangement can be done without any economic loss 90 days
prior to arrival date. Cancellations less than 90 days prior to the start of the
arrangement, Hotel Føroyar is obliged to reimburse you at the following terms:
90-30 days: booking fee is not refundable
Less than 30 days: Advance payment is not refundable

§ 5 Cancellations of individual bookings
Hotel room cancellations are accepted free of charge if notification is received by
the hotel 24 hours prior to arrival. In case of a later cancellation, or arrival
failure without prior cancellation (no show), the hotel is entitled to charge one
night of the original reservation.
This is not valid during trade fairs or other larger events, taking place in Hotel
Føroyars region. In this case a cancellation is only free of charge if it is made no
later than 90 days prior to begin of the event and follow the terms as stated in
fig.4.1.
§ 6 Arrival and departure
Reservations are held until 2100 hrs on the date of arrival. Without prior notice
stating otherwise, the hotel may then reallocate the rooms. This is not valid for
reservations guaranteed by advance payments, vouchers or credit card
transactions made through businesses recognized by the hotel.
§ 7 Various
Rates are subject to change in case of and due to inflation, tax or duty increases.
The price can vary immediately and the client will be informed of these
alterations. Any alterations of prices and arrangement details must be in writing
by the hotel and accepted in writing by the client in order to be valid.
The hotel cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen items belonging to the client
or the clients guests. It is solely the clients responsibility to inform his guests
about the safety measures at Hotel Føroyar. A safe is at the reception for the
guests to use.
The hotel's contractual partners, that is, the guest himself or his host bear
comprehensive liability for damages caused by themselves or their guests.
Contracted, but not consumed services, are neither refunded nor does this reduce
rates.
The correction of printing errors and obvious mistakes in calculation without any
special notification is reserved.
By placing your final booking you agree to the terms and conditions as stated in
this agreement. |
