Scilla is a small beach resort located on the Strait of Messina, 22 km north of Reggio Calabria.
Country origins certainly very old, confused mythology, history and legend, Scilla is distinguished for its magnificent views, the castle of the Ruffo, to the beach and the neighborhood Chianalea and is today one of the most popular tourist destinations of Calabria.
Climbing up some hills sloping, looms over the sea of the strait, forming two beautiful coves that are developed on both sides of the castle giving rise to the two districts of Marina Grande, the beach, and Chianalea. The town, characteristic, is developed in part around and above the rock, partly on a plateau that rises about 70 meters above sea level.
