Risto`s Guest Houses are located on the western slopes of Galichitsa National Park in the village of Elshani, 10 km south of Ohrid, Macedonia and 1.5 km driving distance from the shores of Lake Ohrid. The buses coming from Ohrid stop at the Central Bus Stop of Elshani, the houses are surrounded by beautiful mountain trees, and provide spacious gardens and wonderful views over the Lake of Ohrid .

The hosts serve homemade drinks (wine and brandy), homemade bread and traditional food and speak fluent English . You will always be welcomed with homemade rakija (local brandy, much stronger than normal liquor), and salads. There is a menu on the table, but the host will also introduce the dishes. Soup, pie, or peppers with fresh yoghurt (or all of them) are served as an appetizer. Turli-tava (baked vegetables and meat), musaka, or tavshe-gravche with meat follows as the entree. As dessert, local cake or baklava and Turkish coffee or herbal tea (from herbs collected on the mountain).

For our guests we have prepared a selection of activities, such as walks in the National Park or daily excursions around the Lake,donkey safari,cooking classes,colecting grapes , making home made wine and brandy(rakija). We can introduce you to fascinating natural beauties and cultural treasures of the area including many villages, medieval churches, and monasteries.
