Alenquer is a privileged space between the Tagus Valley region and West Coast of Portugal, where there are several old farms and solar, with green fields covered with vineyards. Here we produce the best wines of the country, their homes on steep amphitheater make Alenquer known as Vila Presépio, and their natural points of reference Montejunto Mountain and Tagus river.
Fertile land and great strategic value, between the Montejunto Mountain and the right bank of the Tagus, was the region of transition and occupation by many peoples who inhabited the Iberian Peninsula. There are many archaeological remains that attest the people presence, from the Paleolithic to the "Metal Age", from Roman´s occupation to the Arab. | | Directions | Quinta do Covanco is located at the entrance to Alenquer, only 3 minutes from the A1 motorway and 20 minutes from Lisbon.
Coming from Lisbon or Porto along the A1, you must take the Alenquer/Carregado exit.
After the toll, carry straight on toward Alenquer, across the IC2.
At the first roundabout, near Alenquer, take the first exit to the right, then left and right once again.
