Chillout Flat on April 6th, 2008 at 7:23 pm #
We stayed at 5 different places throughout Mexico in our travels and the Chillout flat was by far the best place in all categories. Their well-kept apartment in a fine prewar apartment with attended lobby is truly an oasis in the big city in the heart of the historic district steps away from the subway, all amenities and the infamous Cafe TaCuba. Rosario, David and everyone at the Chillout Flat made us feel at home and welcome at their beautiful guesthouse. They were most hospitable, resourceful and helpful. And €¦Rosario €™s breakfasts was a great introduction to gourmet Mexican cooking
Chillout Flat Mexico City on April 6th, 2008 at 7:24 pm #
Two blocks from the Zoccalo and literally around the corner from the Metro’s Allende subway station, Chillout Flat is an ideal ‘home base’ for any couple who wants to explore Mexico City without feeling like a tourist. Much more personal than a hotel, renting a room at Chillout is like staying at a friend’s flat: the common area includes a kitchen with full pantry and a refrigerator filled with juice and yogurt, and the home-cooked breakfast offered every morning is a full meal, artfully prepared by owner David Marino’s mother Rosario. The Flat is clean and filled with modern conveniences that include free wireless access. Matthew and I stayed at Chillout Flat from 12/28/2007 through 1/2/2008. We had the only room with an ensuite W.C. and shower, and our own balcony. Two floors up from the street there was plenty of background noise, but we always felt safe. We spent a quiet New Year’s Eve on our balcony, watching an amazing fireworks display from a district-wide New Year’s celebration. Just beautiful.

The 3 stars Star Holiday Hotel offers guests accommodation in the very heart of the historic district of Istanbul, the Sultanahmet area, with a truly enviable location practically overlooking the inspiring Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia museum. You simply cannot be more central or closer to the sites in this well appointed hotel: the Topkapi Palace and the fabulous Basilica Cistern and Grand Bazaar are just a short 10 minute stroll away. Offering very affordable room rates, the hotel really does provide value for money. Not only is its location one of the best in the area, the Star Holiday Hotel also offers guests simply decorated and clean accommodation, a roof-top breakfast room overlooking the Marmara Sea, and the chance to enjoy a refreshing drink in the hotel’s 1st-floor bar. Great value in an excellent location of the Turkish capital!

HOSTEL ONE - SAN TELMO, BS.AS on June 17th, 2008 at 5:50 pm #
Our Hostel is located in the most beautiful neighbourhood of Bs.As., San Telmo. It’s just a two blocks walk from Plaza Dorrego wich can de honestly call “Heart” of San Telmo” Very high ceilings, wooden floors and old cubblestone walls create a cozy and warm atmosphere in the whole place. The kitchen, the smal yard and the rooftop on the thrid floor are the perfect ambience for original Argentinian BBQ, Welcome and Goodbye parties!! With only three dorms and five private rooms, the Hostel is quite small wich means relaxed and deep sleep. The 24 hours reception gives suggestions what to do during the day and where the best Tango Show can be found in the night.
Hostal Reloj de Flores B&B on October 10th, 2008 at 1:15 pm #
Hostal Reloj de Flores, is a beautiful Hostel newly renovated accommodations with a new style, focoused on giving you the most fun and pleasant stay in Viña del Mar. A charming house, built at the begining of the century, one street from the beach, from a Flower Watch and Sheraton Hotel. A walking distance from the shopping center, banks, ATM, the best pubs, bars, discos and restaurantes, few meters from the public transportation, which will take you to any point of the Region, in a family area, safe and quiet. Being in Reloj de Flores Hostel, in Viña del Mar, is being at home, every day we make our best effort for you to have the best time ever, we are more than a lodging or a hostel in Viña del Mar, we are a special place, where the time stops to have fun, rest, have a break in our way along different cultures. Also Viña del Mar is known as the “Garden City” due to the numerous green areas, large parks and gardens surrounding it. A good choice to get shelter from the scorching summer sun is visiting its “green areas”. If you are interested in going on this ecological tour around the natural sceneries of Viña, start the tour downtown. In the area behind the church there is a sign indicating the entrance to the Vergara Farm park. It is one of the most beautiful parks in the coast of Chile. It has wide avenues full of exotic plants. Inside, there is Vergara Palace, nowadays a branch of the Fine Arts Museum, and the spectacular amphitheater where the International Song Festival is held. During the day, its sandy beaches summon visitors who enjoy the sea, sunbathing, fishing, or just resting as they listen to the lullaby of the swells breaking against the shore. But at night, there is one spot which becomes the absolute protagonist when it comes to having a nice time. Undoubtedly, the Municipal Casino is a must while visiting the city. Its long tradition, together with Viña’s social life, has turned it into a metropolitan icon. Inside its venue, gaming is present every night and families can enjoy its cozy facilities. The building is located in the very heart of Colombia Square, next to the mouth of the Marga Marga Estuary. It was officially opened in December 31st, 1930, and ever since, it has kept visitors who love casino games on tenterhooks. Post a comment
