Located on the famous Dragon Temple market street, the hostel is right next to the China National Art Gallery and a short walk from the Wangfujing pedestrian street (Beijing's main shopping area and renowned night food market). The Dragon Temple market street is famous for its cosmopolitan clothing stores, with the new subway being right at the main entrance.
The hostel is also walking distance from the Forbidden City's North entrance and the famous JingShan park, where from its hill top pagoda you can see amazing views over the Forbidden city and all of Beijing. Within the park you can also usually find traditional Chinese activities, such as Tai Qi / Kung Fu practice, traditional dancing, singing and music. By entering the Forbidden City by the North gate and leaving through the South gate you arrive at Tiananmen Square and the new Qianmen pedestrian street.
Just behind the hostel is a huge network of 'hutongs' (Beijing's traditional old streets) where you can explore and witness real traditional Beijing life and eat authentic Chinese dishes. There are also a few chic café/bars hidden in the hutong streets.
