Terrible service. No hot water or cooking facilities as neither worked. Was told that we could pay by credit card, however demanded euros upon arrival, that is after waiting 45min for owner Christina to arrive.

Would not recommend to anyone travelling to Venice. Dirty and Christina was incredibly rude!

Would rate 0 if option was available

This place is horrible, run-down and in dire need of repairs. In April 2011, a small group of us (5 persons) booked this apartment for a holiday visit. The owner/manager (Cristina) never greeted us as promised in prior e-mail communications, instead, she sent her sister Francesca. She collected our money up front and departed quickly. As I walked Francesca to the front door, I immediately noticed the door handle and lock leading into the apartment was loose and falling off. Francesca said she would tell the owner about it. After we settled in for a bit, we noticed the condition of the furniture and over-all cleanliness of the space was very poor. A non-refundable “cleaning deposit” is required from each renter. The sleeper sofa inside the kitchen area had nails holding down fabric that was coming off. One of my travel companions used the hairdryer in the bathroom and received a bad shock from it; we did not use it again for fear of possible electrocution.

The next day, we closed and locked the building exterior door as we left for a day of sightseeing. When we returned, we discovered that now the exterior door lock would not work, effectively locking us out of the apartment. I telephoned Cristina (the owner/manager) and told her that we were waiting outside and needed her to send someone to correct the problem. Cristina accused us of improperly locking the door (how dare we stick the key into the lock, turn it, and expect it to work). She told me that she would send someone around in about 90 minutes. Two hours had passed with no one in sight. One of the permanent residents at this building agreed to call Cristina on our behalf. I called Cristina again, ten additional times over the next 6 hours with no answer; she was obviously avoiding my phone calls. Eventually, a neighbor gentleman came down stairs and helped us get in to the apartment through a window (Cristina called him). By this time (10:30pm), over 8 hours had passed without any help from Cristina. We had to rely on the kindness of a stranger (he refused our offerings of cash and wine for his troubles).

Avoid this property and the owner/manager Cristina Fiorentini at all costs. She is dishonest and wishes nothing more than to take your money. A quick search of the internet will turn up similar stories about Cristina, her bad business practices and her run-down properties; I wish I had conducted a better search before giving her my money.

We had booked this accommodation on line months in advance but somehow it got double booked and we were given a smaller place in San Polo. This was a great location and a very nice flat but I think we probably should have got some money back although I didn't pursue this with the owner. Also, there was NO breakfast so I'm not sure why this place is on the B and B website!
