Hostel Achalay

Achalay is a family run, cosy, friendly hostel with a cool atmosphere located in the heart of downtown Bariloche. Get the best of both worlds while you locate yourself in the buzzing city, yet only a quick bus-ride away from all the main outdoor attractions! We are only three blocks away from the main square (Centro Civico) and the mesmorizing views of Nahuel Haupi Lake.

The staff is composed by people like you, travelers who enjoy life and like to share their experiences. We are also very knowledgable of the area and can help you receive a vacation that is not the tipical view that tourists recieve. Helpful, friendly and bilingual.

The house offers a space for every mood, lay back and relax in our 'Chill out room' with free access to computers, make friends in our spacious 'Peace and Love' living room, party, make friends and eat to your hearts content in our 'La Boca' themed patio (equipped with a fully fledged 'parrilla', BBQ), a open terrance to enjoy the sun, and even a beautiful, well maintained garden to get that all important tan (weather permitting :-p) and of course re-fuel in our full-equipped, rustic style kitchen, where we pride ourselves on ensuring you have every neccessary utensil :-) There is Wifi access across the house, duvets to keep you warm at night and power showers.
We have single, double, triple and spacious dorms rooms in a music themed haven! Lodge with The Beetles, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Nirvana and of course The Rolling Stones!

HOW TO ARRIVE?
FROM BUS OR TRAIN STATION: Take buses 10, 20 or 21. Get off at the Centro Civico`s stop, From the corner of Moreno with Morales St. (YPF gas station) walk up over Morales st. two and a half blocks, we are on the left side
Ask the driver for these streets if you have any doubts. It takes between 5 to 10 minutes and costs $7.
Another option is to take a taxi or remis, which costs $35.- or $40.- and takes approximately 5 min.
FROM AIRPORT: Take the bus 72 which boards to the right of the main exit as you leave. You can buy your ticket on board for $7. It takes about 40 minutes. Get of at Moreno St. between Beschtedt and Palacios.
From there, walk three blocks over Moreno st. in the same direction of the bus. Then turn left at the YPF gas station (Morales St.) and walk up two and a half blocks. We are on the left side.
Special shutles take you to downtown for $40 and taxis or remises (privates cars) charge you around $100.
