Comments  (English):
Nice Place Guesthouse is centrally located in Mahebourg. Mahebourg is not a very nice town - very run-down, dirty, no beach, and maybe not safe at night. But this guesthouse is probably the cheapest in all of Mauritius. The single room is spacious, with a couch, table, private bathroom/shower, sink, stove and refrigerator. The owner is friendly and somewhat helpful. She is an older local woman and can't really give you advice on hiking or beaches, but has a warm smile. Cleanliness is not impeccable, but definitely adequate for the price. Recommended if you are a budget traveller.
