At the front desk the man seemed drunk.
I made a reservation and also provided the code.
It turned out it wasn't there.
We had to look for last minute place where to.stay.
BTW the common area looked old

Aviso - hostel no es cómo parece en las fotos. Además, NO es un lugar seguro. El personal no verifican identificación, y durante nuestra estancia alguien entró en el hostal, metió algo en el candado, y nos robó todo el dinero. El hostal fue horrible en su respuesta, a pesar de que nos prestó el candado. Tuvimos que involucrar el policía y entonces el hostal era más cooperativo, aunque querían cobrarnos una multa para salir tarde después de pasar todo el día en la fiscalía. Todavía estamos en contacto con el policía en relación al caso. Por favor tenga mucho cuidado en quedarse aquí.
Es sucio, sin mucho espacio abierto, y falta muchos servicios comunes (los baños faltan papel, no hay agua filtrado, etc). Además, durante nuestra estancia hacían reparaciónes temprano en la mañana que duró todo el día.

Had a blast at Hostel Don Pablo! Super friendly and helpful staff, aesthetically beautiful decor and layout, very clean, breakfast and coffee every morning, only a few minutes walk to the Oaxaca Zocalo. The building has a central open air area and cool rooftop area to enjoy the weather or night sky. For those who need a covid test to go home, Salud Digna offers low-cost rapid antigen tests a few minutes walk nearby. Water pressure wasn't always reliable but hey, no one's perfect.

Everything was great since we arrived. Breakfast included, clean and calm spaces and if you are too cold in the nights you can ask for an extra blanket. Very close to the market, churches, restaurants and turistic places in Oaxaca City

Nous nous avons passé deux jours dans cet "hotel" et je dois dire que j'en ai connu des meilleurs. La chambre était ancienne mais relativement propre, par contre, je n'en dirai pas de même pour les sanitaires. En effet, j'ai du prendre sur moi pour aller me doucher ! L'eau ne s'écoule pas ou alors très très lentement, du coup on a l'impression que nos pieds baignent dans la crasse des autres... Le service est très très lent mais l'accueil souriant. Bref je ne le recommanderai pas

The people here were sooo nice. They answered the door at all hours of the night, but always greeted you with a smile. When they found out that I missed my bus from another tour company, they actually called the company, in another city and talked with them. They tried really hard to sort things out. This is friendly hostel that makes you feel truly like an important guest in someones home. They share smiles and are always welcoming. I highly recommend it.
